This week we have been working really hard on final drafts of narrative pieces. An important part of this work is to receive feedback from writing partners. To do this effectively students use a checklist that helps them focus on the important elements of narrative writing. On Tuesday, we focused on the the STRUCTURE and DEVELOPMENT portions of our writing checklists. Structure includes: lead, transitions, ending and organization of the piece. Development includes: elaboration and author's craft.
